We’ve created a companion email list for coordinating our efforts during the COVID19 crisis. It's opt-in, so you need to visit the list page to sign up:

Once you’re there, you’ll see the screen at bottom. Enter your email address and hit the “Subscribe” button. It’s also helpful if you enter your name. You should then get a welcome message with subject line “Welcome to the "Canyon-assist" mailing list.” Then you’ll be able to send mail to canyon-assist at bcpoa.net <mailto:canyon-assist at bcpoa.net>  .

 

If you run into trouble, I can also add you manually, but please give it a try first, so I don’t get a deluge of requests.

 

Here's the list intro:

 

Welcome to the Bridger Canyon mutual aid list. This list is for residents in the  area to help one another during the COVID19 crisis.

 

Our initial thinking is that this will include things like picking up groceries and prescriptions in town for people at high risk from infection. I'm sure we'll learn how to do this better as we go along, and this is as good a place as any to discuss options.

 

A preliminary suggestion: if you'd like to offer assistance, put OFFER in the subject line.

 

If you'd like help with something, put REQUEST in the subject line.

 

If something is taken care of, you could send a DONE message to indicate that no further contact is needed.

 

Sending messages in plain text is helpful (though not needed if a picture beats 1000 words).

 

If you can manage your own subscription via the links in the footer of most messages, please do, to keep our workload down.

 

The list is currently open without moderation, so please observe the usual etiquette - be nice.
