Hi neighbors -
A few early suggestions:
Heebs delivers groceries. Likely about $20 to the canyon, but an option for
ordering online. I think of this email list as one I always read! Thanks,
Tom. There are people who work in town near grocery stores and might offer
to pick up groceries. Actually, Walmart has a pick up service.
Nancy
I get things through email either Aol or gmail just fine. I'm planning on
going to Safeway today and see what's up. Mary

Subject: [bozone-orgs] Bozeman area, city, COVID19 updates
--Volunteering
Many will need help during this time; whether food, childcare, deliveries
and a hundred other things. Please continue to organize yourselves and
others as volunteers. The Bozeman Community Foundation, United Way, HRDC,
Salvation Army and others also are organizing donations and volunteers. They
need help w/existing and new efforts so please contact any of them as well
to help. Also, the Southwest Montana Community Organizations Active in
Disaster (COAD) group is meeting Wednesday, and there will be more details
late that afternoon on how to help our neighbors.
Here are some city-related updates, links and contacts. The City of Bozeman
continues to work closely with other local agencies, Bozeman Health, and
others. In order below:
--Gallatin Health Dept closes bars, restaurants
--Changes to city services, meetings
--City continuing water, sewer, garbage services
--City staff stay on payroll
--Compassion from employers, landlords toward those in need
--Volunteering
--Joint Incident Command Center and emergency declarations by local
governements
--Protect yourself and others
--Gallatin Health Department closes bars, restaurants:
All bars, brew pubs, wineries, distilleries with public tasting rooms and
casinos in Gallatin County will be ordered closed effective Monday at 9 p.m.
Take out and delivery can continue.

--Changes to city services, meetings:
City buildings other than city hall, Stiff Building, and public safety
buildings will be closing to the public.
--City continuing water, sewer, garbage services:
Understanding that many citizens are facing job losses and/or severe
reduction in work hours, Bozeman will continue to provide its water, sewer,
and garbage services.
--City staff stay on payroll:
The City of Bozeman will lead by example and will not lay off workers if
their job function is suspended, if they undergo self-quarantine because of
health risks or other related reasons.
--Compassion from employers, landlords toward those in need:
To mitigate the impact of school and business closures on families, I join
Governor Bullock and many others in encouraging all employers and landlords
to be compassionate with their employees and tenants during this time.
--Volunteering:
Many will need help during this time; whether food, childcare, deliveries
and a hundred other things. Please continue to organize yourselves and
others as volunteers. The Bozeman Community Foundation, United Way, HRDC,
Salvation Army and others also are organizing donations and volunteers. They
need help w/existing and new efforts so please contact any of them as well
to help. Also, the Southwest Montana Community Organizations Active in
Disaster (COAD) group is meeting Wednesday, and there will be more details
late that afternoon on how to help our neighbors.
--Joint Incident Command Center and emergency declarations by local
governments:
The County has organized a Joint Incident Command Center (JIC) and call
center to coordinate ongoing response between health, emergency, safety and
other officials. Also, Bozeman, Gallatin County and other local governments
will be enacting emergency declarations this week-this allows us to
coordinate with state and federal efforts, qualify for reimbursements, and
other steps.
--Protect yourself and others:
First, take care of yourself: wash hands, eat well, sleep, and stay
home/isolate if you're sick.
https://www.healthygallatin.org/blog/protect-yourself-coronavirus-covid19/
Second, practice social distancing in general, and especially if you're in
an at-risk group: avoid crowds, those who are ill, gatherings of more than
ten people, etc.
Third, the Gallatin County Health Department is asking event organizers to
consider postponing/cancelling events that bring people together in close
quarters for a purpose that is non-essential. Individuals and families also
should make smart decisions about events they do attend.
