Hi all -
My neighbor (and former BCPOA board member) Bob Rasmus went through a
house fire a couple years ago and knows the insurance ropes. He was also
a contractor and did a lot of fire restoration. He'd be happy to talk
with you about getting the most out of your coverage. He's at 582 5844.
I don't have his email handy, but I'm sure ddrasmus at gmail.com will work too.
Also, recall that BCPOA's attorney, Brian Gallik, has offered
assistance. Email repeated at bottom.

Hey Tom,
My wife and I are BC property owners and fortunately our property
is far enough north that so far we have been unaffected. Yesterday, I
launched the "Canyon Companion" which is a free meal and beer program
for any canyon resident who has been evacuated or displaced due to the
fire. Any canyon resident can call the brewery at 406-587-4070 and
order a 1/2 or whole package and pick it up. The 1/2 includes any two
burgers (Yellowstone Grassfed) with sides as well as a six pack of their
choice. The whole order includes 4 burgers (Yellowstone Grassfed) and
two six packs for pick up. We just ask that they provide their name as
well as address. Community members have the opportunity to help as well
by calling the brewery and purchasing a meal which will be given to the
next canyon resident that calls in.
Our community members have been incredible and have been calling in
to buy dinners for folks. The brewery is providing these dinners
regardless if a community member buys it or not but it has been
incredible to see the community jump in and help.
Also, I am in the beginning stages of setting up a raffle which all
proceeds will go to affected canyon residents. The raffle is not public
yet but I was hoping to see if you would help me compile a list of folks
that we can give the proceeds to. I know it looks like 28 homes were
lost and I would like these proceeds to go to those families, or other
families that you know of that may be in harder times due to this. They
can remain anonymous to the public if they wish. My hope is just to help
put some food and beer in their bellies a a bit of cash in their pockets
to tide them over during insurance claims.
Please feel free to spread the word to the BCPOA about the meals
and beers but not about the raffle yet. Any questions, please email or
call. Thanks Tom
