Form

All,

Below is communication from the Greater Gallatin United Way regarding
the fire relief funds and how those impacted by the Bridger Foothills
Fire can apply for relief. Also please see the two related documents
attached. This email also includes information for those needing housing
assistance.

********************************************

Dear Community Members of Bridger Canyon,

To date the Bridger Foothills Fire Relief Fund has raised $101,916 from
close to 500 donors.  This fund is made possible in partnership with
Greater Gallatin United Way, One Valley Community Foundation, and the
SWMT Community Organizations Active in Disaster. Thank you to all of you
for helping to spread the word. Our community’s generosity is really
amazing and we are determined to get these funds out in an equitable,
responsive, and effective manner.

*Individuals who have been impacted by the fire are eligible for
financial relief.*

Please pass along the attached letter and funds request form and the
following message to those impacted by the Bridger Foothills Fire.

We are authorized to provide an_ immediate $1,000 to every household who
lost their home in the fire_.

This funding has been provided by the Yellowstone Club Community
Foundation Board of Directors.

An additional $1,500 from the general fire relief fund is also available
upon request for those with greater immediate needs and/or expenses.
Individuals who lost homes are asked to contact Danica Jamison or
Bridget Wilkinson as the letter instructs so checks can be released.

General fire relief funds are available also - to those financially
impacted by the fire, but who did not lose a home.

While the Bridger Foothills Fire Relief Funds is not intended to fully
cover all losses incurred by the fire, the funding is flexible and may
be considered for a wide range of expenses such as: housing, hotel,
travel, gas, moving costs, replacing lost frozen and refrigerated food,
clothing and personal supplies, household goods, pet supplies, smoke
damage, home repair, home rebuilding, land reclamation, agricultural
needs, equipment, hay, fencing, lost income, and mental health support.

A funds request form is attached.  Completed forms can be photographed
or scanned and emailed to: tia at greatergallatinunitedway.org
<mailto:tia at greatergallatinunitedway.org>.

Or, individuals may instead fill out this online form:

navigation, please contact or refer folks to Jenna Huey at
HRDC.* Email:jhuey at thehrdc.org <mailto:jhuey at thehrdc.org> Phone:

its impacts, please consider filling out our fund inquiry form.* You may

Tom,

It wasn’t only the USFS that was communicating via Facebook as the
updates the Sheriff’s office provided were also done using Facebook.  I
too was evacuated and was not able to access the updates the Sheriff
provided as I do not belong to Facebook.  I streamed them using other
websites.  Also, for everyone’s information, the Bridger Canyon Fire
Department does not communicate via Facebook nor does the Fire Chief.
The fire department uses a resident’s email list to contact and
communicate with citizens residing in our fire district. If you have not
given your email address to the fire department, please contact us to
add you to our list (or see our website at: bridgercanyonfiremt.gov
<http://bridgercanyonfiremt.gov>).
Sincerely,
Gary Andrews
